Paintings

My work focuses primarily on portraits and representations of the human body, specifically exploring female representation in different contexts, including the artist's life. I draw my inspiration from everyday life, social networks, current trends and the digital environment. To give a different dimension, I often add an imaginative or slightly offbeat touch to reality. In my creative process, I sometimes use myself as a model.

 

I work on canvas using acrylic and oil techniques. My artistic style focuses mainly on photorealism. My creative process begins with the capture of photographs, which I then rework by adding additional elements missing from the original image. I then transpose this modified collage onto canvas. When working on canvas, I integrate paint to exploit its physical aspects. I experiment with texture, transparency and blending effects. Painting becomes a means of expression in its own right, creating visual and sensory interactions with the viewer.
